You can also customize the
name of the sender
to make the text more believable. Fake Text Message also
saves
all the dummy exchanges you made under its Message History section. You’ll see all the names of the senders you made and the
messages you made for each of them.
How to use the app
Generating messages
with the Fake Text Message app is
easy
. Simply
type
the name you want and the message you want to receive in their respective spaces. You can choose the
message type
— receive or send — and the
time delay
of the dummy text. There is also a
custom option
for the time delay, though you can
only customize it by minutes
.
Tap on
Schedule Text
and you will
receive
the fake message within the time you set. You can also
cancel
the text, if there's anything you want to edit, and
save the fields
so you don't have to type the details again the next time you use the app. Once you receive the message, you will be taken to a chat box where you can
reply
to it.
Note that you
can only reply
to the fake text
as the receiver
. That means if you want to pretend to get a response from the sender, you'll have to
go back to the main screen
and type another message. Meanwhile, there’s an
unusable feature
of this app: the
call icon
in the chat box. Tapping on it doesn't do anything, meaning you can’t use it to pretend to call the sender.

Send yourself a seemingly urgent message from an important person that requires your immediate attention with the app. Set the time delay so you can receive it at the most opportune moment.
